(Belga) Te weinig GOK-leerlingen stromen door naar het ASO. Dat wordt gestaafd door cijfers die Vlaams parlementslid Fatma Pehlivan (sp.a) heeft opgevraagd bij minister van Onderwijs Pascal Smet.

België moet enkel Roemenië laten voorgaan als het gaat om de kloof tussen tewerkstelling van migranten en autochtone bevolking. Het meest problematisch is de situatie van de Marokkaanse en Turkse vrouwen in de drie regio’s. Geen enkele groep is zo slecht af. Vlaams parlementslid Fatma Pehlivan pleit voor samenwerking tussen inburgering en werk. “De weg naar integratie kan het vlotst verlopen als je werk hebt en economisch onafhankelijk bent. Vooral voor vrouwen is dit een zeer sterke tool in het kader van hun emancipatie.”

(19/10/2011) Er zijn geen cijfers van het aantal allochtone jongeren in het Vlaamse hoger onderwijs. Dit blijkt uit het antwoord van minister Smet op een vraag van sp.a-parlementslid Fatma Pehlivan. Scholen zijn niet verplicht cijfers bij te houden van het aantal allochtone studenten. Parlementslid Pehlivan ijvert ervoor dat dit in de toekomst gebeurt. “Zonder cijfergegevens blijft het diversiteitsbeleid in het hoger onderwijs natte vingerwerk.”
